Notes, thank yous and scriptures

I didn't plan on doing this CD right now. I actually just wanted a couple of old hymns I could use during concerts. But do you realize how difficult it is to choose "a couple" from the many you have loved since you were a kid? Well theses songs are just a few of the ones Mom, Dad, my brother and I would sing when we'd be at home around the piano, in the car or at church. As we were recording this CD, my Mom passed away. One late night at the hospital, I was alone in her room with her. It was so very quiet, but Mom couldn't seem to rest. I started playing the hymn, "In the Sweet By and By". When the chorus came on, her lips began mouthing those words and the tension that had covered her face, slowly started vanishing. I pray that at that moment she could feel her Lord so very close. I know how these songs make me feel. They take me back to special places and times when I have felt His presence wrapped so warm around me. They nudge my heart closer over to my Lords and remind me of how He has stayed with me all these years. And when I get to the end of my life, maybe not knowing where I am or even who I am, I believe these songs will be singing deep inside me, giving me comfort. I pray they do the same for you! Blessings and love, Sherri

Dedicated to my Mom: Barbara Dale Fulkerson

Thank you Jerry for producing this project for me! These hymns have become even more beautiful to me with how you've put them together. This project is one I am so very proud to call my own!

Thank you to Brian, Aubrey, Duncan, Scott, Jerry, Jason and Blair! Goodness, not only are you all wonderful and talented players, but you are also so very kind to play for this crazy, old woman. Thanks to sweet Reggie and Ladye! Y'all did great and I'm praying you got to rest up after that long, long day.

OK, Dew Farmer, here are your long awaited Hymns. Sure do appreciate all that you are and all that you do. You have all my love. C

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:19-20

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1
